A serious rail accident has occurred in Munich, Germany, where two carriages of a freight train fell from a railway overpass after a collision during maneuvering. According to preliminary information, two freight trains collided for reasons still unclear, causing two carriages to derail and fall from the overpass.

One person has suffered serious injuries, which are considered life-threatening. German police have announced that the train from which the wagons fell was not carrying any cargo, so there was no danger to nearby residents or any leakage of hazardous materials. Federal and local police forces, firefighters and emergency teams have responded to the scene.
