A video recently released by Ukrainian authorities shows a Russian drone chasing and attacking a Ukrainian civilian on an electric bicycle. The footage, filmed by the drone itself, shows the operator following the victim for a long time before hitting him with an explosive device.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has also reacted to this incident, calling for the international community to act more decisively against Russia. “The world needs to see this. It needs to see every piece of evidence that Russia has lost all boundaries and that its soldiers delight in killing and abusing civilians.
Without pressure on Russia, without dismantling its aggressive capabilities, and without real security guarantees, it is impossible to imagine that the world can coexist with this evil,” Zelensky wrote. He stressed that protecting life must remain a priority and that Russia must be forced to think seriously about peace, instead of expanding the use of drones in war.
“This is not just a Ukrainian problem. Russia’s campaign against human life must stop here, in Ukraine, before it spreads further. Finland, Kazakhstan, the Baltic states, Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania and Moldova must work together to provide real security guarantees and put an end to Russia’s war.
