American billionaire Elon Musk has caused widespread reactions after releasing a clip from the film “World War Z”, linking it to the recent migrant crisis in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.

In his post, Musk criticized Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for his migration policies, while footage from the film – which shows crowds of people attacking the city like “zombies” – was used to comment on the situation on the border between Morocco and Ceuta.

Musk’s reaction came after thousands of migrants attempted to enter Spanish territory from Morocco, either by crossing border barriers or swimming towards the coast of Ceuta. Due to the situation, Spain sent additional police and military forces to control the border.

Meanwhile, his supporters said he was expressing concerns about Europe’s border controls and migration policies.

The crisis in Ceuta has caused major political tensions in Spain and Europe. Authorities reported a high number of crossing attempts, casualties during the attempts, and an overload of local reception services. This is not the first time Musk has been involved in public debates over migration policies in Spain.

He has previously commented on the Sánchez government’s decisions regarding the legalization of undocumented migrants. /Telegraph
