Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia was the only participant in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit in Kiev that did not sign the joint declaration on continuing political, military, financial and security support to Ukraine, as well as strengthening pressure on Russia.

The summit adopted the Kiev Declaration, through which the participating countries pledged to continue their support for Ukraine and cooperate in the reconstruction of the war-torn country. The document also included calls for increased pressure on Russia and for an end to the war, the media wrote.

Vucic said he had come to Kiev to present Serbia’s position on key issues and that Belgrade continues to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and its path towards the European Union. According to reports, Serbia decided not to sign the declaration due to parts related to increasing pressure on Russia, with which Belgrade maintains close political and energy relations.
